Nastase shares how Federer, Nadal, Djokovic influenced other players

In an interview to Welt, Ilie Nastase commented on how Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic made other players achieve less success than they should have probably achieved. Nastase made a comparison with a previous era: "Tim Henman was an unbelievable player, especially on grass. He would have won several Grand Slams, but he lost to Pete Sampras every once. He also criticized the shot clock: "If Nadal plays a 20-minute rally, then you should give him more than a 25-second rest until the following serve. It's silly not to give him more time. Those rules are not made by players but by people who have never played sports."

He finally slammed today's tennis: "Now everyone is all the same. They are totally focused, they do not want to do anything different from the others. Novak Djokovic sometimes. Stan Wawrinka is a strong character. But now for media, TV and crowd, it's not that good. We lost characters like John McEnroe and Co., another generation. You cannot make a comparison."
