Novak Djokovic will become the GOAT over Roger Federer - Wilander

In an interview, the seven-time Grand Slam winner Mats Wilander commented on the history of tennis. The Swede believes that Novak Djokovic will soon be considered the GOAT. "In tennis, the number of Grand Slam titles matter, and now Roger Federer is on the first row. But Novak Djokovic will hold the record, I think. If he wins the French Open now, I think we can say that he is the greatest player of all time, because winning the four Grand Slams twice in a row is unbelievable. And he is not a complete player yet, he still has three or four years left and he seriously has a shot at ending as the greatest player ever. It's very clear that Djokovic is the favorite in this year's edition. He showed in Madrid that he can win. He may not be 100 per cent ready but he will be at the beginning of the tournament. Rafael Nadal plays better every week and he can win too. But I think the younger players are not intimidated at all by the biggest players now. It's very difficult for someone like Stefanos Tsitsipas to win the French Open, but he can definitely upset more than what he did in the past."

Then, Wilander suggested all the fans to get to Paris to attend the second calendar Grand Slam of the year. "If you want to watch just one Grand Slam, the French Open is the tournament where players deliver their best tennis. Seeing players like Halep and Nadal playing on the French Open court is like an art opera," he concluded.
