Rafael Nadal was unbeatable in first two sets against Maden - Wilander

On Eurosport, the seven-time Grand Slam winner Mats Wilander praised Rafael Nadal's performance against Yannick Maden. "In the first two sets, he looked unbeatable, he did not give any chances, Maden seemed he could not do anything. I played Guillermo Vilas in '82 and I was praying for games in the final, I could not beat him. In the third set he was not brilliant, we will have to see when a player can be really competitive against Nadal, if there is one."

John McEnroe added: "The great thing about Nadal is that he does not take anything for granted, he does not give up even two games and he was playing so well. I think he is going to win his 12th. There are obviously five or six guys who can beat him, but it's so tough to beat Nadal at the best of five sets."

McEnroe finally commented on Grigor Dimitrov's next match against Stan Wawrinka: "Nearly impossible because I do not see him standing with Wawrinka on the backhand side. Today he hit too many drop shots, he has been creative, he went through so many things in the last 12 months. Grigor just needs to play without thinking too much. The good thing is that he is fit again, then now that he faces Wawrinka it will be very tough."

Dimitrov upset the 11th seed Marin Cilic in five sets. Wawrinka defeated Chile's Cristian Garin in straight sets. Nadal will play the 27th seed David Goffin in the third round.
