Stefanos Tsitsipas: 'Rafael Nadal brings an unprecedented energy on court'

In an interview to ABC, Stefanos Tsitsipas revealed what makes tough facing Rafael Nadal. The Greek player said: "I think in 2018 Toronto I had most options against him, the closest I was, so far. In Barcelona, I had no chances. You can feel his energy from the other side of the net. I had never experienced something like this against any other player in my life. In Barcelona with all the support for him make it very hard. It's a gift the way he is able to put so much energy and dedication and focus on just one thing in every moment. It made him dominate the Tour for many and many years. I think he is the only player who never left the top ten all these years and that's unbelievable."

Asked what he would take out of the Big Three, Tsitsipas replied: "Nadal's spirit, Federer's serve and Djokovic's backhand."

Asked what he would have done if he were not a tennis player, Tsitsipas replied: "Maybe journalist or working on the social media. Something related to communication. Going to the University related to the technology."

On Tsitsipas, Alexander Zverev said: "Obviously, he's one of the best players in the world this year. Played unbelievable at the beginning of the year. He's played a lot as well. He has been playing almost every week."

The Athens native will also play in Rome, then he will take a rest the week prior to the French Open.
