Pat Cash gives thoughts on epic Stan Wawrinka and Stefanos Tsitsipas battle

Former world No. 4 Pat Cash absolutely enjoyed watching a French Open round-of-16 showdown between No. 24 seed Stan Wawrinka and sixth-seeded Stefanos Tsitsipas.

The Swiss, who broke Tsitsipas in the seventh game of the third set, failed to convert any of his two set points in the ninth game but successfully served out for the set in the following game.

Tsitsipas blew an early fourth-set break but broke the Swiss once again in the seventh game to force a decider.

Tsitsipas appeared to be closer to winning the fifth set but that didn’t happen as Wawrinka used all of his experience to beat the Greek.

Wawrinka saved a total of eight break points in the fifth set before he broke Tsitsipas in the 14th game to seal the win.

Tsitsipas didn’t face a single break point in his first seven service games of the decider.
