'Dominic Thiem is very close to Roger Federer, Nadal and Djokovic' - Agent
In an interview to Associated Press, Dominic Thiem's agent Herwig Straka spoke about his new co-operation with the Austrian player. In March Straka replaced Gunter Bresnik, who worked as Thiem' coach and agent. "We are doing very well, it has been some weeks since he started playing fewer tournaments and other commitments have been achieved. We knew each other better but we also defined his goals and personal values. When it's branding, authenticity is very important. There are many areas that have been built step by step. We spent time with sponsors and we were impressed by the work he has done with Adidas. He wears Adidas from head to feet and he was also asked what kind of shoe collection he prefers and they really listen at him."
Thiem's interest in animals is well known. "Especially because he likes doing it. He is pretty open to many things aside smoking or alcohol."
Could Thiem have his own logo one day? "Why not, that opens to opportunities. It could happen in the next future."
On Thiem's results in tennis, Straka added: "He was unlucky with Wimbledon draw, but he is in a good mood. He knows that he did not play well in the fourth set against Sam Querrey and that should happen to top ten players. He is very close to Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic, he competes against everyone and it would be good to be at the top while they are still there. Now he has a different approach."
