Matthew Ebden Speaks About His Post Tennis Plans

Tennis - Australian tennis star Matthew Ebden says he has lined up what he is going to do when his professional tennis career is over. In an interview to the Providence Journal, Ebden says he will get into business dealings and property development and hopes to raise children with his wife Kim, with whom he has been married since 2012.

Ebden says, "I’m about a mile from a beautiful, clearwater, crystal beach with white sand. In a lot of ways, I can’t wait to not have to travel and do stuff. But I know my level is there. When I’m playing well, it’s as good as anyone in the world.”

Ebden is currently into the quarter-finals of the Hall of Fame Championships in Newport, where he will meet top-seeded John Isner. He defeated Brayden Schnur in the first round in Newport and Denis Kudla in the second round. He is also into the doubles quarter-finals where hs is partnering with Robert Lindstedt.

The 31-year-old Ebden is currently ranked no. 110 in the world, down from his career-high ranking of No. 39 he achieved in October 2018.
