Nick Kyrgios shares controversial exchange with Mikhail Kukushkin on IG
Nick Kyrgios is often in the centre of attention for his on court and off court behaviour. The latest, controversial exchange with Mikhail Kukushkin on Instagram proves it. ATP Tour asked followers if they are with or against the underarm serve. Kukushkin voted "no" through an emoji.
Kyrgios commented: "Don't worry dude, I didn't need to use it when I was chopping you up in Dubai", the Australian wrote referring to his 6-3 6-2 win over Kukushkin in the 2016 Dubai second round.
Kukushkin replied: "That was my answer regarding underarm serve, not to you. No need to be rude to other people with no reason."
Kyrgios concluded: "Not sure reminding you of a tennis match is rude, I was just giving you my opinion on our match and the use of underarm serve."
Meanwhile on his relationship with the former world No. 1 Patrick Rafter, in a press conference, Kyrgios said: "We got pretty close in Perth, as you guys know as well. I think it's good. We learned each other. Especially over the IPTL. I got to know him a lot better off the court as well. He only wants to see the best out of us guys. So that's good."
Kyrgios is set to play his next tournament in the Citi Open, Washington, in ten days, prior to Montreal, Cincinnati and US Open.
