Rafael Nadal: 'You cannot speak of sacrifices when you play tennis'
Rafael Nadal had a ton of injuries throughout his career and his uncle Toni described him as an "injured person who plays tennis". The 18-time Grand Slam winner said: "I got injured more than usual, but the positive that I took out of these injuries is that I cameback being able to appreciate even more what I do or achieve. When you do what you like I do not think that you can speak of sacrifices. I did the same things as my friends in Manacor but I never had to put aside my childhood or youth in order to be a player. I went partying, which I still do when i can, I play football and golf. As for eating, as a kid it was a disaster but over the years you are more disciplined. But there are times where you cannot do perfect things because in the long term that's bad too and ir prejudices you."
On the concept of success, Nadal said: "The success is to have the feeling of having done things in the right way to evolve. I had the ability and humility to listen at many people of my camp and then I took my decision. Losing a match is not a failure. Failure is failing with yourself."
