Felix Auger-Aliassime watching his old matches to see where he could improve

Rising Canadian star Felix Auger-Aliassime is watching his old matches during the coronavirus pandemic to see which areas of his game he could improve. 

The 19-year-old made a strong start to the season but he hasn't still won an ATP title as he ended runner-up in Rotterdam and Marseille this past February. 

Auger-Aliassime, ranked at No. 20 in the world, has already made five ATP finals in his short career but he has been struggling to deliver once the biggest moment arrives. 

"I try to do it once or twice a week. I watch old matches, analyze them, talk through it with my team," Auger-Aliassime said, per Tennis.com. “We watch how I move, watch other opponents and try to take what we can, even though we know must of them already. It’s always interesting to see any improvement I could do once I’m back on the court. It is a way to stay connected psychologically."

The season has been suspended since March 12 and there won't be any events taking place until at least July 13.

Former world No. 17 Auger-Aliassime says he has been training well during the Tour suspension and he is drawing positives from it. 

"We always complain we do not have enough weeks, or months to train. Now's a good time to work on things,” Auger-Aliassime. “I made the best setup I could. It’s been good, so I’ll be doing that until I leave for Monaco."

Unfortunately, there isn't too much optimism that the season will resume once the current suspension expires.
