Andy Murray and Feliciano Lopez to play No. 2 seeds in Montreal opener

Former world No. 1 Andy Murray and Spain's Feliciano Lopez haven't been lucky with their Rogers Cup doubles draw as the wildcard duo will start campaign at the Montreal Masters against second seeds Lukasz Kubot and Marcelo Melo.

Murray and Lopez had a dream team debut at the Queen's Club recently as the won it all in the Briton's first tournament in six months following his hip resurfacing surgery. 

In what looks to be one of the most entertaining doubles first round clashes, Benoit Paire and Stan Wawrinka will be taking on Fabio Fognini and Lucas Pouille. 

Paire and Wawrinka, who won an ATP doubles title together in Chennai in 2013, will be playing alongside each other for the first time since 2015, while Fognini and Pouille are set to debut as a pair. 

Meanwhile, two-time Brisbane semifinalists Grigor Dimitrov and Kei Nishikori will be taking on No. 5 seeds Jean-Julien Rojer and Horia Tecau in their Montreal opener. 

Rising stars Andrey Rublev and Alexander Zverev also haven't been particularly lucky with their draw as they are set to clash against third seeds Bruno Soares and Mate Pavic in the Montreal first round.
