How Felix Auger-Aliassime can be inspired by Rafael Nadal

In an interview to Ici Radio Canada, Felix Auger-Aliassime's agent Bernard Duchesneau commented on how the Canadian player can get inspired by Rafael Nadal. The Spaniard has some great people around him that make him have success. "I think it's a pretty close team", Duchesneau said. "The building on this camp was around the family because it's very important. I believe in It. I think you need strong grassroots and solid background. This building needs to be a strategic one, built step by step. Consistency is important but it's complicated to keep it. In order to get it, you have to make things simple. You have to be consistent in selecting people around you. I believe in it and players applied it with a big success."

On his win by retirement over his compatriot Milos Raonic, Auger-Aliassime said: "I was pretty shaken. Didn't really know how to react. But then a few seconds later it sunk in that, Okay, he retired, he's not going to play. After that, what I can say? That's how it is. That's life. For sure what was tough is to see Milos' face. He's a good friend of mine. I remember when we crossed after the second set, I could feel he was pretty sad about something. It wasn't fun to see him like that. At the end of the day, I wish it's not too bad because it's tough to see him go out like that, yeah. In the end, to see Milos go out like that was not easy to see. So, yeah, I'm not going to try to make a whole big deal out of it. I think it's things that just happen. It's happened to me before. Sometimes it happens to the opponent."
