Nick Kyrgios: I don't like the media, Australian media is by far the worst
Australian tennis star Nick Kyrgios has publicly admitted that he is not a big fan of the media as he doesn't believe the media are always fair to everyone.
The 24-year-old hasn't enjoyed a good media image since the beginning of his career as he has been labeled as a "spoiled brat."
The Australian has several times claimed that he's a victim of double standards and unfairly targeted by the media and general public.
When asked about his relationship with the media, Kyrgios exclusively told the Washington City Paper: "I don’t like it. I don’t like the media in general. I think they try to spin things the way they want people to see them. They generally give a lot of false information, and make people see one side of the things."
Kyrgios didn't hide what he thinks and how he really feels about the Australian media as he said: "Australian media is by far the worst. By far. It’s by far the worst media in the world."
When asked to explain his claim, the five-time ATP champion said: "You can just type in my name, and you can get a bunch of stuff from that."
Meanwhile, Kyrgios is making a solid run in Washington as he is set to fight against Yoshihito Nishioka for a place in the quarterfinal.
