Bianca Andreescu doubles her pleasure at U.S. Open with 3rd round win

Enjoyment of the thresholds of victories and dealing with injuries are the norm for athletes and tennis players alike. Bianca Andreescu went through her surges at this year's Indian Wells where she has captured her Indian Wells title, but the first wild-card player to win the title. It was her desire to come out victorious and she didn't hesitate on saying "I want to win this so bad." It was her dream to product the victory and afterwards said that "I just want to savor this moment because you never know what the next week will bring."

But today much of that comeback pain and frustration hopefully are behind her. Here at the U.S. Open, Andreescu hasn't dropped a set and is playing near peak form despite shoulder injuries sustained at Miami after her title gotten at Indian Wells. she would tackle her oppoents with vibrance and clever strategies winning all of her rounds. The next opponent was Caroline Wozniacki a fierce and highly competitive opponent. The Canadian teen is healthy and strong. She played relaxed and was able to execute her cross court strategies and drop shots to perfection. Wozniacki would rally it out with her but Andreescu played focused and smart to win over the Dane, 6-4, 6-4. It was a journey to get to the road Andreescu is now on and in having to play even her idol, Serena Williams was a joy even it it ended in less than an hour with Williams having to retire with back issues. "What I've been through the past two months has not been easy...I'm trying to look at my injury not as a setback but more of a challenge," Andreescu said frankly.

The Rogers Cup has proven to be a prelude for the teen to go deep within each tournament and here at the U.S. Open, she has came back with power and determination. She has proven that she's healthy again. She has displayed her know strategies with precision and when tiring with rallies, skillfully 'drops the junk' on her opponents most times to win the point. The Canadian teen hadn't broken a set as the Open held promise for her from the first round with American Katie Volynets, as well with Kristen Flipkens. The match was intense with Andreescu's third round opponent Caroline Wozniacki. The Dane, whose a veteran tried hard to take control of the match but unsuccessful as the Canadian teen outsmarted her on court. Andreescu had found another gear rom her winning days and applied it to Wozniacki. The teen had the momentum in tact and in less than an hour took the first set 6-4. The second they were tied 3-all but it seems like talents were matched  with the teen keeping her ground and going for more of her shots than the Dane could come up with.

It was at the press conference when Andreescu was given some information she would relish in disbelief. "With this win, I became top 10, what??? You're kidding me, really?" She had to give a big laugh and held her head as she just couldn't believe that now she is ranked in the top 10 WTA player in the world. "Oh man! Wow, that's all I can say right now." Bianca Andreescu was elated after receiving the news and revealed that she never checks her status, that she focuses only on her game. But there may be more expectations from the Canadian teen now to continue doing well; nothing that she's not geared to do. The next opponent in the round of 16 is Taylor Townsend, who has just grown with confidence and skill after defeating no. 4 Simona Halep in the second round of the Open. Everyone has to be at their 'A' game in this last slam of the year or players know they will fall to defeat and the climb back up may be harder than they think.
