David Goffin: 'I will take all the energy I can to face Roger Federer'
David Goffin was the guest of Emirates Walk at the US Open on Friday. The Belgian player left a message for his fans. "I just finished my match against Pablo Carreno Busta. It was tough, three sets, three hours and 30 minutes, I am tired, but great win and now I am playing next round against Roger Federer. Big stadium, so it will be nice. I will take all the energy I can to play a good match. Thanks for all the support and hope to see you in the next round on the stadium."
Carreno Busta said: "I felt I could do more. It was a very balanced match. David played great, he has been playing very well. Little details made a difference. In key moments he was better than me, for little points and little moments. But I am happy, I recovered mentally and physically. I could have done something more but I made a big effort to come where I am."
Alex De Minaur defeated Kei Nishikori. In the press conference, the Australian credited his country's Davis Cup team captain Lleyton Hewitt. "Obviously, Lleyton is someone who has helped me out a lot. He's sort of like a mentor to me. You know, going into this match, obviously I talked to my team and we had a game plan, and very happy I was able to execute that game plan and play some good tennis today," said De Minaur who prevailed in four sets.
