Davis Cup Tournament Director Albert Costa commented on the men's event that will take place in Madrid next month. Spanish tennis federation chief Miguel Diaz said: "We had a very complicated draw with Russian, that has very good players, and Croatia, the defending champions, but we have a big amount of players with an unbelievable level. The proof is that over the last years we always ended with 10 or 11 players in the top 100 and there are very few countries who achieve it. I think if we go through the groups' stage we can qualify."
