Croatian Nino Serdarusic: We have come to Madrid to win DC Finals

Nino Serdarusic of Croatia is extremely excited to be a part of the Croatian team that will be featuring the inaugural Davis Cup Finals. 

Serdarusic, ranked at No. 283 in the world, wasn't initially on the list of players announced by the now former Croatian Davis Cup Team Captain Zeljko Krajan.

Last week, 2014 US Open champion Marin Cilic announced that he was pulling out of the Davis Cup Finals due to an injury. 

Eight-time ATP champion Ivo Karlovic appeared to be the likeliest replacement but he couldn't agree on the terms with the Croatian tennis association representatives. 

"For me and I believe for any athlete in any sports, playing for your country is one of the biggest privileges you could experience. I am here with my boys, who are all great players and I'm looking forward to spending like 10 days with them. We will see who will be the second singles player (behind Borna Coric) but nevertheless we are all ready, we have come here to win and we will give our best," Serdarusic told the Croatian Tennis Association. 

Croatia won't have an easy job of making it past the Round Robin stage as they will share the same group with Russia and Spain.
