Alexander Zverev: 'Brother Mischa always wanted to be Roger Federer in training'

Alexander Zverev spoke about his "rivalry" with his brother Mischa Zverev when they were younger. 'Sascha' said: "He always had to be Roger (Federer), so there is no way for me to be Roger. We had a lot of Grand Slam finals in practices, I never wanted to lose to my brother and viceversa. I am very proud to back Germany. For me it was never about the money and the fame but making crowd enjoy. Now it's a dream come true."

Xavier Puyol, Barcelona Open organizer, spoke about the future of the event and of tennis: "I do not think complicated times will come but we have to be prepared for the post Nadal era. We need to realize that what Rafa, Federer and Djokovic did cannot be repeated. So we have to focus on the next generation of players. Solid players like Dominic Thiem or Stefanos Tsitsipas or the new up-and-coming guys like the Italian Jannik Sinner. With David Ferrer we are doing a strategic analysis on who are the ideal players for the following years."

Alex Corretja praised Nadal: "I am the first to be surprised, I made an effort in tennis, I never imagined that they would award me for it. For me it's great that people of every age starts understanding tennis thank to me."
