Dominic Thiem: I'd never move to another country for tax reasons
Austrian tennis star Dominic Thiem insists he would never move to another country for tax reasons.
Thiem, who was born in Wiener Neustadt, has his residence listed in Lichtenworth, Austria.
Monte Carlo, Dubai and Nassau are among the most popular destinations for players who want to change their residence and pay less taxes.
Thiem, who turned professional in 2011, has earned a total of $7,836,322 in prize money so far in his career.
The 26-year-old has no problems with paying his taxes in Austria as he can't imagine himself living in another country.
"It is out of the question for me. Monte Carlo or Dubai? I can't imagine having to spend time there instead of going home. It's so beautiful in Austria. Just the thought of living somewhere else would drive me crazy," Thiem said of the idea of moving to another country for tax reasons, as revealed by De Nela/Twitter.
