Leander Paes, 46, hints at possible retirement

Indian doubles star Leander Paes, 46, has hinted at a possible retirement as he admits that he now relies on his experience and knowledge to outsmart opponents.
Paes, who turned professional almost three decades ago in 1991, won 54 doubles titles and achieved a career-high ranking of No. 1 in the world during his illustrious career.
"My experience carries me through now but in the longevity fo for what's the best for the team I should not be playing past another year," Paes said on Monday, per The Times of India.
Several Indian players decided not to play last week's Davis Cup tie against Pakistan but Paes made himself available and collected his 44th doubles win in the competition as India dominated Pakistan 4-0.
"Already by 46, I should have been moved out by the next generation coming up," Paes underlined.
"So to be really looking at it objectively, the health of the team, to nurture a younger team is what's important."
It remains to be seen for how long will the 46-year-old Indian tennis legend play professionally.
