Na-Lae Han: I'm really happy to capture Australian Open wildcard

Na-Lae Han of South Korea didn't hide her happiness after winning the Australian Open Asia-Pacific Wildcard Play-off tournament.
Han, seeded at No. 1 in the draw, delivered in the final against second-seeded Ayano Shimizu as she saw off the Japanese 6-2 6-2 to earn a wildcard into next year's Australian Open.
Shimizu managed to get one break back when Han was serving for the opener first time but it didn't lead to a comeback as Han managed to close out the first set in the eighth game.
Han made a bad start to the second set but she kept her focus as she won six games in a row to recover from a 2-0 deficit and claim a straight-set win.
"It’s the first time I played Ayano. I am really happy to win the championship and to capture the wildcard,” Han said after the final, per Tennis Australia.
World No. 182 Han is set to make her main draw debut at the Australian Open.
Han, 27, failed to make it past the qualifying at Melbourne Park in 2017 and 2019.
