Rafael Nadal didn't speak English well at start of his career - Davydenko

In an interview with Eurosport, Nikolay Davydenko was asked who he has the closest relationship with among Roger Federer, Novak Djokovic and Rafael Nadal. Davydenko said: "With Federer and Djokovic I am okay. Nadal - if I understood the Spanish, maybe... In the past he was speaking English so bad and speaking with him was difficult. Asked what Khachanov should improve on, Davydenko replied: "The movement. Of course, he will not run like I did but he can always take steps forward. He has some issues with the co-ordination. He needs to have a stronger focus and also improve his shots. Sometimes he listens, he says, Yes, yes, yes, but he doesn't execute. Sometimes he gets nervous and you have to wait for him to get calmer."

Davydenko was asked who between Karen Khachanov, Daniil Medvedev and Andrey Rublev will be the world number one. Davydenko replied: "When Federer, Nadal and Djokovic retire, one could become. Everyone has the same game. Zverev, Tsitsipas, Khachanov, Medvedev - everyone is the same. They have to fight because if they lose a bit the focus, they lose."
