Andreas Seppi Becomes A Father for the First Time
Italian tennis player Andreas Seppi has become a father, as per a post from his Instagram account. This is the first child for Seppi and his wife Michela Bernardi.
Their daughter Liv was born on February 20 in Boulder, Colorado on February 20th, one day before Seppi's own birth date which is February 21st. Seppi turned 36 years old this year.
The couple got married in 2016. It has been a good week for Seppi, who also reached the final of the ATP New York Open last weekend, going down to Britain's Kyle Edmund in the New York final. It was his first final since last January when he reached the final in Sydney.
This is the second ATP player to become a father this month. Frenchman Jeremy Chardy had also become a father earlier this month. Croatian tennis player Marin Cilic became a father for the first time in January.
The 36 year old Seppi is currently ranked No. 80 in the world, although he has been as high as No. 18 in January 2013. He has won 3 ATP titles in his career so far, the last one coming in 2012. He has also won 9 titles on the ATP Challenger circuit and 1 title on the ITF circuit.
We wish all the best to the Seppi family on this great news.
