Felix Auger-Aliassime: It wasn't easy but I was clutch in big moments

Canada's Felix Auger-Aliassime says delivering in the big moments was the key behind his three-set first round win in Rotterdam. 

Auger-Aliassime, ranked at No. 21 in the world, started his Rotterdam campaign with a 6-3 1-6 6-3 win over world No. 34 Jan-Lennard Struff. 

"He was serving well, hitting hard and put me on the back foot a lot, but I was clutch with some good first serves when I needed them," Auger-Aliassime said after the match, per the tournament's Twitter account. 

Auger-Aliassime, 19, claimed the first break of the match in the fourth game before he saved three set points in the following game. 

The Canadian converted his third set point on his serve in the ninth game to seal the opener. 

After saving a total of eight break points early on in the second set, Struff claimed back-to-back breaks to win the second set and force a decider. 

But in the third set it was Struff who failed to realize his chances as Auger-Aliassime saved five break points before he earned the lone break of the set in the eighth game. 

Auger-Aliassime plays next 2019 Rotterdam runner-up Grigor Dimitrov.
