The 19-year-old Felix Auger-Aliassime has been one of the youngsters to beat ever since he qualified for the main draw at home Challenger in Drummondville in 2015, still at 14! A super talented youngster who had trained at Tennis Canada's National Training Centre in Montreal gathered many age records on the Futures and Challengers, remaining the leader of the pack and by far the best player born in 2000 ever since. After becoming one of the youngest champions at Futures and producing notable results at Challengers as well to move closer to the place in the top-100 just after turning 18. That had to wait until 2019 season when the youngster shifted into a higher gear to become the top-20 material and contender for even better positions in the years to come.
Struggling with an injury, Felix couldn't produce his best tennis in the closing stages of the last season and he is yet to find his A-game in 2020 as well, losing six out of ten matches and having to wait for Rotterdam and Marseille for better results. For Felix, every point in 2020 counts, launching a project together with CARE and BNP Paribas to help children in Togo, his father's native country. Felix will donate $5 for every point won in 2020, with BNP Paribas adding $15 to that tally, hoping to reach 2500 children and feeling excited about one of the most important projects of his life so far.
"I would like to share a project with you that is really close to my heart. I feel fortunate to have a satisfying career so far but I think it is time to add more meaning to it; beyond tennis. In 2020, all my winning points count and I will donate $5 for every point I win. The other member of the team is the BNP Paribas who will give $15 for every point I take this season. We are partnering with CARE for the protection and education of children in Togo. Together, we aim to help over 2500 children and we really need your support to help me win as many points as possible; every point matters in 2020."
