Kevin Anderson out of Acapulco, Indian Wells and Miami

Former world No. 5 Kevin Anderson has withdrawn from Acapulco and the opening two Masters events of the season in Indian Wells and Miami.

After suffering a second round defeat at the Australian Open, the South African returned to action last week at the New York Open -- where he picked up a surprise Jason Jung first round loss.

Anderson, 33, has had success on the hard courts of Acapulco as he is a two-time Mexico Open finalist but he has yet to win a title at the tournament.

Anderson, now ranked at No. 121 in the world, hasn't had the similar type of success at either Indian Wells or Miami despite making nine appearances in Indian Wells and 10 appearances in Miami.

The 33-year-old has had some solid runs in Indian Wells and Miami but he has never made it past the quarterfinal at either of the opening two Masters events of the season.

Soonwoo Kwon will replace Anderson in Acapulco, Federico Delbonis now steps into the Indian Wells draw and a place in the Miami draw opens for Hugo Dellien following the withdrawal of Anderson.
