World No. 153 Sergiy Stakhovsky was straight impressive on his serve in his Rotterdam qualifying first round match as he finished the match without a lost point on his first serve.
Stakhovsky, a former world No. 31, won 34-of-34 of his first serve points and didn't allow Austrian Dennis Novak a single break point in an hour and 15 minutes of play.
The 34-year-old Ukrainian surprised world No. 93 Novak 7-6 (5) 6-2 en route to setting up a Rotterdam qualifying round match against Germany's Philipp Kohlschreiber.
Not a single break point was seen in the first set and the set had to be resolved in a tie-break, where Stakhovsky converted his first set point to win a tight opener.
Rising Austrian star Novak never recovered from dropping a tight first set as Stakhovsky started the second set with back-to-back breaks and a comfortable 4-0 lead.
The Ukrainian then routinely closed out the match as he realized his first match point in the eighth game to come a win away from making his sixth Rotterdam main draw appearance.
