Stefanos Tsitsipas: I need to keep right attitude on court

World No. 6 Stefanos Tsitsipas is happy with the way he has been performing so far this week in Dubai.

Tsitsipas, seeded at No. 2, started his Dubai campaign with two straight-set wins.

The Greek successfully overcame a tricky opponent to reach the quarterfinal as he beat Alexander Bublik 7-6 (1) 6-4 on Wednesday.

Rising star Bublik saved two set points in the 12th game of the first set but stood no chance in the tie-break, which Tsitsipas dominated to win a tight opener.

The Greek then saved four break points in the eighth game of the second set before claiming the lone break of the match in the following game.

"Things were going quite well, although we reached the tie-break in the first set,” Tsitsipas said, per the ATP Tour. “I knew I needed to serve well and take risks, which gave me confidence. I experimented a little bit with other things in the second set. I’m trying to save as much energy as I can on court. I’ve had two two-sets wins this week and I need to keep the right attitude on the court.”

Tsitsipas plays next against Jan-Lennard Struff, who beat Nikoloz Basilashvili to advance to the last-eight.
