Stefanos Tsitsipas 'impressed' with his performance against Dan Evans
World No. 6 Stefanos Tsitsipas was extremely satisfied with his performance against Great Britain's Dan Evans.
Tsitsipas, seeded at No. 2, dropped just five games en route to beating world No. 37 Evans 6-2 6-3 to reach the Dubai final.
Evans, who will enter the top-30 for the first time in his career this coming Monday, led 2-1 after the opening three games of the match.
But the match completely changed after the third game as Tsitsipas absolutely dominated the rest of the match to make back-to-back finals in Dubai.
The Greek never lost his serve and claimed two breaks in each set to beat Evans in their first-ever ATP meeting.
I just managed to stay solid throughout the whole match,” Tsitsipas said, via the ATP Tour. “I didn’t have massive breakdowns and just played a quality of tennis which I enjoyed… I am really impressed by the quality of my game today and I really hope to bring the same and possibly even better in the next round.”
