Judy Murray: I Don't Know When Andy Murray Will Be Back

Judy Murray, the mother of former World No. 1 Andy Murray, who recently announced that he might have to undergo a third surgery on his hip, says she does not know when her son will return to the court.

You start gently, you build it up. You test it out, you go into competition. You test it out there. Then you see where you’re at and you have to adjust your schedule of training and competition to create a balance. You can’t just go from doing nothing for a long time to doing five sets at the Australian Open, for example. He’s not going to rush anything, he’s going to take time and make sure his body is absolutely ready before he puts it back in again. Murray has already undergone two hip surgeries and has not played since winning the ATP Cup in Antwerp in October.

The Scot will turn 33 years old in May.
