Rising star Jannik Sinner Talks About Spending Time in Monte Carlo
Rising Italian star Jannik Sinner says he is spending his time in Monte Carlo during the next few weeks while the tennis season is shutdown.
Speaking to SuperTennis, the 18 year old, ranked No. 73 in the world says, "In the Principality everything seemed normal at the beginning - he said - but then restrictive measures were taken here too. You only go out to do your shopping, with gloves and with respect for the distances between one person and another. I try to follow a program, always at home in the morning I do exercises of mobility, stability, shoulders, to keep myself in shape. In the afternoon I try to move more , there is a garage under the house, there is also my trainer who helps me to do the exercises "
Sinner says he is also working with coach Riccardo Piatti through online methods. "At a distance we watch some matches on Tennis TV together even matches of a few years ago . We write to each other, we try to get ideas and learn from there too ".
Sinner says he also plays some games online at PlayStation (his favourite game being FIFA) and speaks to his parents, brother and grandparents regularly.
The Italian is considered to be one of the rising stars in men's tennis. In November, he became the third and youngest winner of NextGen ATP Finals, after beating Alex de Minaur 4-2, 4-1, 4-2.[7] in the final.
