Daniil Medvedev: Big Three are tough to play but I struggle against Frenchmen

World No. 5 Daniil Medvedev claims the Big Three are the toughest opponents to play but for some reason he also struggles against French players.

The Big Three -- consisting of Novak Djokovic, Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer -- have been dominating the Tour for over the last decade and a half.

"The Big Three are the toughest opponents. But for some reason I also have hard time playing against Frenchmen," Medvedev said on Instagram Live. 

Medvedev, a former world No. 4, has two wins and four losses against world No. 1 Djokovic. 

Medvedev has zero wins and three losses against world No. 2 Nadal but he blew a 5-1 three-set lead against Nadal at the Nitto ATP Finals last year. 

Medvedev's also came close to beating Nadal in his maiden Grand Slam final but the Spaniard edged out the Russian in five sets to win last year's US Open.

The Russian has also lost each of his three matches played against record 20-time Grand Slam champion Federer.
