Nick Kyrgios: I don't hate Novak Djokovic

Australian tennis star Nick Kyrgios says he can admit that people are different and that he doesn't hate or whatsoever world No. 1 Novak Djokovic.

Kyrgios, ranked at No. 40 in the world, has played twice against 17-time Grand Slam champion Djokovic.

The Australian can brag about having a positive record against Djokovic as he leads the head-to-head record against the Serb 2-0.

Even record 20-time Grand Slam champion Roger Federer and former world No. 1 Rafael Nadal don't own a positive record against Djokovic.

Kyrgios, a six-time ATP champion, was on Instagram Live with his good friend and fellow Australian player Thanasi Kokkinakis.

"I don't actually hate anyone. I can admit that people are different. I don't like some of the things he (Djokovic) does but I don't hate him," Kyrgios said on Instagram Live.

A year ago, Kyrgios appeared on the No Challenges Remaining podcast and gave his honest thoughts on Djokovic.

"I just feel like he has a sick obsession with wanting to be liked. He just wants to be like Roger (Federer). For me personally—I don’t care right now, I’ve come this far—I feel like he just wants to be liked so much that I just can’t stand him," Kyrgios said at the time.

"This whole celebration thing (blowing kisses to the crowd) that he does after matches, it’s like so cringeworthy.

“(But) we’re talking about a guy who pulled out of the Australian Open one year because it was too hot. No matter how many grand slams he wins, he will never be the greatest for me. Simply because, I’ve played him twice and like, I’m sorry, but if you can’t beat me, you’re not the greatest of all time."
