Thomas Fabbiano speaks extremely highly of Novak Djokovic
Italian tennis player Thomas Fabbiano insists world No. 1 Novak Djokovic isn't only a great player but a great person as well.
The ATP initially suspended the Tour for six weeks on March 12 due to the coronavirus outbreak.
Since then, the suspension has been extended twice and now there won't be any events taking place until at least July 13.
Ever since the Tour got suspended, players have been urging the governing bodies to help lower-ranked players during the coronavirus pandemic.
President of ATP Player Council Djokovic showed leadership when he proposed that top-100 players each donate from 5,000-30,000 to support player relief fund.
The money would be distributed to those players most affected by the Tour suspension.
"He is working hard, he has a huge heart, he could have every right to think about other things, instead he's opening his mind more and more to leave his mark even outside the courts," Fabbiano said of Djokovic, per LiveTennis.
"It is a strong signal from his part for all those who are behind in the ranking and who risk having to stop at the end of the year. When I found out, I was surprised, but also happy about his proposal."
