Will Eugenie Bouchard and John Goehrke's date be featured in a movie?

In the beginning, there was Wimbledon: the comedy-romantic movie starring Paul Bettany, Kirsten Dunst, Sam Neil, John Favreau, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau and James McAvoy. It was one of the first comedy-romantic experiments with tennis as a background and, in that specific case, the Championships at Wimbledon.

The movie narrated the love story between the British wild-card Peter Colt (a free inspiration from the history of Goran Ivanisevic) and young rising American star Lizzie Bradbury. The movie was quite successful.

Only three years ago, Borg-McEnroe was released in the cinemas. The movie focused on the rivalry between Borg and McEnroe during Wimbledon 1980, culminating with Borg's victory in the final.

According to the a Canadian magazine recently, Hollywood history could soon repeat itself with another tennis-based romantic-comedy. The protagonists? Eugenie Bouchard and John Goehrke! John Goehrke was the boy who managed to snatch an appointment with Eugenie Bouchard with the victory of the New England Patriots in the Superbowl LI. They actually became friends and according to the rumors of the Canadian magazine, the story could soon be adapted into a movie.

In addition, during a direct Instagram with Allie LaForce, organized to raise funds to combat the COVID-19 emergency, a fan of the Canadian managed to win an appointment thanks to an offer of 3700 euros. The story repeats itself, therefore, even if it will be understood whether the date will be real or virtual.

In the meantime, Genie is becoming one of the protagonists on social media, especially on Twitter, where, practically every day, she updates her fans with tweets about her quarantine. Definitely a nice way to spend time with her fans and exchange funny tweets and hilarious moments.
