Novak Djokovic hits practice court before Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal

World no. 1 Novak Djokovic is yet to lose a match in 2020, scoring 18 wins from as many encounters and conquering the ATP Cup, the Australian Open and Dubai. The Serb was ready to chase more trophies in Indian Wells and Miami, traveling to the USA before the coronavirus pandemic canceled the entire season for at least five months, with Novak catching the last flight and moving to his brother's house in Marbella where he has stayed with his family for the last two months. The 17-time Major champion has been enjoying time with his wife and kids, doing some exciting stuff and taking care of his body as all the other players.

Also, Novak had a couple of conversations with his colleagues, speaking about different topics and hoping to receive some positive news about the restart of the season. In the meantime, the Serb has hit the practice court on Monday for the first time in weeks, chasing balls on the clay court and appreciating every minute after such a long break and the time spent in the house. At the ATP Cup, Novak prevailed in some tight encounters against Kevin Anderson, Denis Shapovalov and Daniil Medvedev, toppling world no. 1 Rafael Nadal in the final to claim the title for Serbia and add massive 665 points to his tally, the ones that would help him move past the Spaniard in Melbourne.

At the Australian Open, Rafa lost in the quarter-final to Dominic Thiem and that opened the door for Novak to become world no. 1 again, prevailing over the Austrian in a thrilling final to claim the ATP throne that he lost in the closing stages of the previous season. In February, Djokovic secured another title in Dubai and the final clash against Stefanos Tsitsipas has been his last of the season so far, with a coronavirus putting everything on hold at least until August.
