Tony Parker: I have started to invest in tennis but I can't talk about it too much

Former basketball star Tony Parker says that he has started investing in tennis but was not ready to reveal further details about the same.

Tony Parker says he is a big fan of tennis

The French basketball superstar Parker was speaking with young French juniors on a show organized by BNP Paribas where he spoke about his love for the game of tennis. "I am a big fan of tennis, I always played when I was little on vacation when the basketball seasons were over. During confinement, I played 5 times a week. You haven't finished hearing me in tennis because I started to invest. But I can't talk about it too much."  Parker also spoke on the show about how he became a basketball star. "At 9 years old, I saw the Dream Team (United States) for the first time and therefore it motivated me. My father was a basketball player, it also helped me especially mentally. Because for me, there is a real difference between those who want to be good and those who want to be great players.. I had a very strong objective, it was to arrive in the NBA and nothing could stop me. Young people today only focus on results and they forget everything that happens before. It bothers me when young people ask me 'what's it like to be known?' or 'what's it like to be rich?'. I never did that for money. I was passionate and wanted to be the best in the world"

38 year old Parker is a former professional basketball player and majority owner of ASVEL Basket in LNB Pro A. He played for two years in the French basketball league, before joining the San Antonio Spurs of the National Basketball Association (NBA). Parker won four NBA championships (2003, 2005, 2007, and 2014), all of which were with the Spurs. He also played for ASVEL Basket in France during the 2011 NBA lockout, and finished his career after one season with the Charlotte Hornets.
