'Roger Federer, Nadal and Djokovic have strong opinions', says Canadian player

Roger Federer is probably fans' favorite player. Wherever he goes, the Swiss is praised by the public. Just remember what happened during the Wimbledon final in 2019, with the crowd at Center Court roaring after every point from Federer. Roger is a universal champion who goes beyond tennis, who manages to win the unconditional love of fans thanks to his class, his elegance and his charisma. Rafael Nadal is also very popular with fans, almost as much as Federer. Novak Djokovic is supported by many fans, but perhaps he is still a step behind his two rivals. This happens both because of some wrong attitudes he had in the past, and because he is seen as the villain who wants to overcome Federer and Nadal at any cost. A member of the council Vasek Pospisil recently spoke about Federer, Nadal, and Djokovic’s presence in the council. Pospisil recalled their first council meeting where he was sitting and discussing with the trio.
Pospisil on the Big 3“It is a pretty amazing experience. And I was actually sitting and it was me and to my left was Novak Djokovic to my right Roger Federer and then Rafael Nadal was right beside him.” Vasek Pospisil said in the ATP Tennis Radio podcast. “These are three incredible athletes to be involved in the council, with them it’s pretty cool and I think the dynamic is interesting because you have three strong individuals, they have strong opinions as we all do in the council,” Pospisil added. “When you have three guys coming in with the position that they come in, it can be challenging, they work very well together, they are very open-minded, Novak’s been incredible, I have spent most of the time with Novak since the day I joined. Roger when he came on he brought a different perspective and he is a super-smart guy and very open-minded so it’s been a very cool experience. “ Pospisil stated. The US Open have been resolute in their determination to press ahead this year despite the many challenges posed by the coronavirus pandemic. Although the US Open will ahead, players must adhere to certain conditions, such as confinement to ‘bubble’ hotels and restricted numbers in terms of their entourage. Fans are also not permitted to attend, making it the first ever behind-closed-doors Grand Slam. However, the legal situation has not been laid bare too, with the USTA asking players to sign away their right to take action against them in case of illness – or even death.
