This post followed her promising social media shout conveying that she’s doing everything she can to be ready for Roland Garros.
“I have been off the social (media) for quite some time and now I’m back! I needed to take some time off because I was playing tennis, training, and doing all kinds of stuff,” admitted Serena. Moreover, Williams talked in a bitter manner about her performance of getting into the US Open semifinals.
“Anyway, I ended up being on the semifinals of the US Open which is great for everyone… but me,” Williams confessed. “With that being said, I’m back to work and I’m doing everything I can to heal and be the best that I can be.”
Serena Williams trained at Mouratoglou Tennis AcademyAs we reported a few days ago, Serena Williams started training at her coach’s tennis academy just three days after exiting the US Open. This can’t denote anything else but a strong will from the American tennis legend to win in Paris.
Williams has been seeking the 24th Major title ever since the 2017 edition of Australian Open when she claimed the last crown, losing all four finals at Wimbledon and the US Open in 2018 and 2019. The American had to sweat a lot in New York this year, competing without the home crowd in cheering for her and still giving her best against every rival to go as far as possible.
In what’s announcing to be a special French Open edition, Serena Williams will try to add that long-awaited for 24th Major title to her arsenal and equalize Margaret Court's record.
Will she achieve that? Can she recover in time? And will Serena be able to outperform in-form opponents like Simona Halep, Victoria Azarenka, or even Garbine Muguruza? We shall sense an answer to these questions once she steps on the court in Paris.
