Roger Federer gets back his famous logo, with RF caps coming in a week

After almost two and a half years, Roger Federer is a proud owner of his legendary RF logo. In Halle 2018, Federer played his last match in Nike apparel and with his logo, entering the sacred Wimbledon Centre court in Uniqlo equipment a few weeks later and losing rights to use his logo, which stayed in Nike's possession. On Tuesday, Roger shared the good news with his fans, getting the sign back and working with Uniqlo on the new collection that goes on sale from December 8. Roger Federer caps in eight colors will come to stores that day, with more gears coming in the upcoming weeks and months. Roger's last match with the famous logo came against Borna Coric almost 900 days ago, losing a tight final in Halle and never wearing it again. That will change in 2021 when Roger returns to the court after a nasty knee injury that required two surgeries.

The 20-time Major champion has experienced the most extended break of his career, not competing since the Australian Open in January and skipping the rest of the season after those knee troubles. Roger is working hard to get back at 100%, spending more time on the practice court and hoping to get back in action in January or February at the Australian Open. Kicking off the 2020 season at the Australian Open, Roger battled past John Millman and Tennys Sandgren to reach the semi-final. Struggling with a groin injury, Federer saved seven match points against the American in the quarter-final's fourth set, prevailing but having nothing left in the tank ahead of the next clash!

Roger Federer will use his RF logo again from 2021.

In the semis, Novak Djokovic defeated Roger in straight sets, marking the Basel native's last official match of the season. After the record-breaking Cape Town encounter against Rafael Nadal on February 7, Federer underwent knee surgery, planning to return in June for Halle and Wimbledon on his beloved grass. Roger failed to take the pain away and underwent another surgery in May, deciding to skip the rest of the year and make a fresh start in 2021. Keeping those points from 2019, Federer will open the new season from inside the top-5, hoping to reach his pre-injury level as promptly as possible and show his logo around the tennis globe.

"After a long wait and extensive fine-tuning, UNIQLO and I are extremely excited to announce the return of the RF hat in eight fresh colors starting December 8, 2020. This hat has meant so much to me and my fans over the years. It has given us a way to connect visibly, and I have appreciated the opportunity to thrive off this supportive energy," Roger Federer said.
