Nick Kyrgios on his comments on Novak Djokovic: I ain't holding back

Australian tennis star Nick Kyrgios has acknowledged that he is not holding back from his comments made against world No. 1 Novak Djokovic

Kyrhios, a six-time ATP champion. said he does not consider Djokovic to be the greatest player of all time since he beat the Serb twice in as many matches played.

In early 2017, Kyrgios handed a straight-set defeat to Djokovic on the hard courts of Acapulco, before handing out another defeat in two sets to the Serb at the Indian Wells Masters a few days later.

"No matter how many majors Novak wins, he will never be the greatest to me," Kyrgios said this week.

"I played against him twice, and if he can't beat me, you are not the greatest of all time."

On his Instagram Story, Kyrgios shared a post with this comments on it and captioned it: "I ain't holding back."

Kyrgios also called Djokovic a tool

A total of 72 players are currently in a strict quarantine ahead of the Australian Open.

17-time Grand Slam champion Djokovic provided a list of suggestions, calling for the Victoria Government to looser quarantine restrictions.

Djokovic's suggestions were bluntly rejected by Victoria's Premier Daniel Andrews.

After reading Djokovic's suggestions. Kyrgios called him a "tool" on Twitter.

In 2019, Kyrgios had some harsh words about Djokovic.

"I just feel like he has a sick obsession with wanting to be liked. He just wants to be like Roger (Federer)," Kyrgios said at the time.

"For me personally—I don’t care right now, I’ve come this far—I feel like he just wants to be liked so much that I just can’t stand him.

"This whole celebration thing (blowing kisses to the crowd) that he does after matches, it’s so cringeworthy.

“We’re talking about a guy who pulled out of the Australian Open one year because it was too hot."
