Maria Sharapova shared her super training at home

More than a year has now passed since the official retirement of the former Russian tennis player Maria Sharapova. The beautiful Siberian athlete can surely be remembered as one of the strongest tennis players ever, she is one of the few to have won the Career Grand Slam and has brought several titles in her career.

2020 was the year of her retirement, a year that has seen so many changes for the tennis player that she has, among other things, announced the official engagement with a well-known British entrepreneur and businessman, namely Alexander Glikes.

At the end of her career, Sharapova focused on her business, Sugarpova, a company specializing in the production of various types of confectionery. In recent days, Sharapova has posted a video on social media where she (probably advertising some product) she shows how she trains and how she keeps fit as a former professional.

Sharapova won the Wimbledon tournament at the age of only 17 (second youngest player ever in the Open era after Martina Hingis to have succeeded) and for having won all 4 events of the Grand Slam, tenth tennis player in history to succeed in that achievement.

She was number one in the world in singles on five separate occasions, for a total of 21 weeks, becoming the first Russian player in history to reach that milestone. She became number one for the first time at age 18 on 22 August 2005 and for the last time in July 2012.

She has won five Grand Slam tournaments (including two in Paris) and is one of ten players in history to have completed the Career Grand Slam (together with Maureen Connolly, Doris Hart, Shirley Fry, Margaret Smith Court, Billie Jean King, Chris Evert, Martina Navrátilová, Steffi Graf and Serena Williams), achieved on 9 June 2012 with the victory of her first Roland Garros.

In her career, she has won a total of 36 singles tournaments, including the WTA Finals in 2004 and 12 Premier category tournaments. In 2012 she was awarded the silver medal in singles at the London Olympics, in her only Olympics ever played.
