Stefanos Tsitsipas after Miami exit: I was very stressed this two weeks

No. 2 seed Stefanos Tsitsipas admitted he was disappointed after blowing a big lead against Poland's Hubert Hurkacz and failing to reach the Miami Masters semifinal.

Tsitsipas, who made the Australian Open semifinal in February, was up bz a set and a break before Hurkacz recovered to win 2-6 6-3 6-4.

Tsitsipas claimed two breaks in the opening set and saved three break points to easily win the first set.

The Greek then started the second set with a 2-' lead but Hurkacz refused to quit as the Pole earned two breaks to overturn the deficit and force a decider.

In the third set, Hurkacz broke Tsitsipas in the fifth game and served out for the match in the 10th game.

"It’s a disappointing loss, a very disappointing loss. It left out of my hands. I grabbed it, it was there, everything was under control, then suddenly, I don’t know, self explosion,'' Tsitsipas underlined after blowing a big lead to Hurkacz, as revealed by Ravi Ubha.

Tsitsipas reveals he's been feeling stressed lately

'I was very stressed this two weeks, especially this week, I was feeling very stressed. I felt like it was my opportunity, I could have…I did quite well but I feel like there was more space for me to show something greater,'' Tsitsipas added.

Tsitsipas is now looking forward to the clay season.

"I am looking forward to clay court season, it's my favorite surface. I really want to do well this year and I will work hard for it,'' Tsitsipas said, per Vicky Georgatou.

Meanwhile, Hurkacz said after beating Tsitsipas. “I was trying to keep fighting and that’s what I did,” Hukacz explained. At the beginning of the match I was going for too much. I tried to adapt my game…. [I’m] super pumped and happy that I turned this match around…. It’s so big; it’s a super big win for me. I can’t wait for the next match.”
