ATP Rome 2021: Paire argues with the chair umpire and photographs the court!
New tournament and same Benoit Paire. In the match valid for the first round of the Internazionali BNL d'Italia 2021, in Rome, the French tennis player was the protagonist, once again, and as often happens to him recently, not for positive reasons.
In the match played this morning against the Italian Stefano Travaglia he lost in two sets, in an hour and twenty minutes of play, with the result of 6-4; 6-3. During the second set Paire discussed several times with the chair judge Fernandes, he committed several double faults in series and at the end of the match he wanted to take a photo of the court on an episode of the game: Fernandes warns him that he would give him a fine and warning, but the Frenchman does not hear us and ends his brief experience in the capital in the worst way possible.
We have to recall that the Frenchman has been, in recent weeks, the protagonist of many controversial episodes, both on the court and off the court.
