Cameron Norrie: It's good to have Nick Kyrgios back

British tennis star Cameron Norrie was happy to be back to the Atlanta Open and he was happy to see Nick Kyrgios back onto the court.
Norrie, who ie enjoying a career-high ranking of No. 29 in the world, saw off Kyrgios 6-1 6-4 to reach the Atlanta quartefinal.
Norrie played at the Atlanta Open in 2018 and 2019 and back then he made back-to-back semifinals at the tournament.
Kyrgios, ranked at No. 58 in the world, was playing just his fourth tournament of the season.
"It's very nice to be back here in Atlanta," Norrie said in his on-court interview, as quoted on the ATP website. "It's good to have Nick back... really enjoyed the match and really happy with my level."
Norrie dominated KyrgiosNorrie made an outstanding start to the match, having claimed back-to-back breaks to take a comfortable 5-0 lead.
Kyrgios served out the sixth game to get on the board but Norrie served out for the opener in the following game.
Norrie then broke Kyrgios in the ninth game of the second set, before serving for the match in the following game.
Last week, Norrie captured his maiden ATP title in Los Cabos.
"It's cool to be playing at this level and [I am] happy and satisfied to be getting some wins," Norrie said. "I'm enjoying my tennis."
"I feel very happy. I couldn’t be more proud of myself, proud of my team and how I handled the week. I am happy how I improved every match. I used my experience a little bit today and I think it showed in the match," Norrie said. "I think it’s a huge bonus. It was always a goal of mine to get my first title. Obviously I’d lost three finals this year, so it was very nice to get over the line today. I’m going to enjoy it tonight and then [go] straight back to work."
