Jannik Sinner remains commited to hard work after Washington title, new career-high

Rising Italian star Jannik Sinner doesn't want to get too high on his recent success as he insists he needs to keep working hard and try to improve his game.
Sinner, 19, claimed his fourth ATP title last week in Washington after beating American Mackenzie McDonald in the final.
Following his win in Washington, Sinner rose to a career-high ranking of No. 15 in the world.
"I think there is still much work to do, to be honest. A lot of experience to put in, working hard as we are doing now, and trying to play important matches and important moments of a match," Sinner said, per Sky Sports. "Today I think I had a lot of them. I can learn many things [from] today.
"When you see somebody is the youngest or whatever, I don't put much weight on that. There are a lot of players who have done much, much better than me. It's not about who is the youngest or whatever. I just want to improve, work hard."
Sinner regained his confidenceA week earlier, Sinner lost to Christopher O'Connell in his opener at the Atlanta Open.
The loss to O'Connell pushed Sinner to four consecutive defeats.
However, Sinner didn't leave Atlanta after his singles exit as he also played in the doubles event.
In the end, Sinner and American Reilly Opelka ended up winning the Atlanta doubles title.
Winning the Atlanta doubles title helped Sinner regain his confidence and that showed in Washington.
In Washington, Sinner and Sebastian Korda made the semifinal.
"You know, I’ve been out of competition quite long. [At Wimbledon and Atlanta] I’ve had only two matches," Sinner said. “Also doubles helps me trying to get the confidence back. Trying to win matches also. Obviously it’s a lot of fun playing with Sebastian [Korda] as well. He’s a very young player and yeah, trying to win."
