Chun Hsin Tseng vs Novak Djokovic: Serena Williams's coach makes comparison
In an interview to the New York Times, the French tennis coach Patrick Mouratoglou commented on the young star Chun Hsin Tseng's potential, making an interesting comparison between him and a tennis legend. Tseng won the Wimbledon men's singles junior title earlier this year. 'He’s tiny for the moment. But he’s going to be strong because he is an incredibly hard worker. You don’t need to be big to be successful. Look at Novak Djokovic, he’s the best mover on tour and he’s very light', said Mouratoglou, who watches Tseng closely as he is practicing at his academy. 'He’s an incredible worker. Like, incredible. The quality, the intensity and the amount of work he is able to achieve every day is very, very rare.'
Tseng's father, Yu Te father, and he predominantly follows him on Tour. But when he cannot, his wife tries to replace him despite some issues. 'My wife this year has developed health problems from working so hard. The current situation, with us, travelling and she stays at home, she is starting to feel that the body cannot hold up. I don’t want my wife to go through this. One day recently, she said, ‘I cannot do this much longer.’ Of course, when Jason gets very successful, we won’t have to worry about the financial situation so much.”
Commenting on the young player's potential, Ed Tseng added: 'I don’t know how far he can go. But we are doing everything we can to maximize his talent.'
