How much do Rafael Nadal, Maria Sharapova, Simona Halep earn from Nike?

The American brand Nike has a lot of sponsorship deals with many great athletes, from basketball to tennis, golf and baseball. Nike appeared on the market in 1964 and was called Blue Ribbon Sports, and only in 1971, the brand switched to its current name, which was a wise decision as Nike is one of the 25 richest companies. The first tennis player who signed with Nike was the first world no. 1 Ilie Nastase in 1971. Earlier this year, Simona Halep signed a deal with Nike for $1.7 million a year, one of the lowest in comparison with other athletes, as reported by Fanatik.

Michael Jordan gets $60 million a year, he owns, with Nike, the Air Jordan collection, which has sold $2.2 billion units since 1985. Jordan retired from basketball in 2003. Tiger Woods gets $20 million a year from Nike. The American golfer started his co-operation with Nike back in 1996 and then signed for $40 million a year for five years. Now he earns $20 million as part of a new five-year deal.

There are four athletes who earn $10 million. They are tennis player Rafael Nadal, the basketball star LeBron James, the golfer Rory Mcllroy and the baseball player Derek Jeter. In March 2018, Roger Federer's deal with Nike ended - he earned $10 million a year from 2008 to 2018 - and signed with Uniqlo for $300 million until 2028. LeBron James has been with Nike since 2004, and in 2015, he signed a lifetime deal. LeBron has brought at least $400 million to Nike through his shoes. Maria Sharapova earned $70 million from 2010 to the end of 2018, and she is set to renew her deal.
