I saw Serena Williams' US Open outburst many times, says Naomi Osaka

In an interview to La Repubblica, Naomi came back to speak about the controversial US Open final she won against Serena Williams, who argued with the chair umpire, Carlos Ramos. At the time Osaka was very confused, and now her feelings are still the same. 'I saw it many times', said the Japanese player. 'And I still do not fully understand the facts. I know that a lot of people got angry, but I do not manage to see what they are speaking about. I feel that, in these circumstances, everyone acted the way they acted because they are what they are.'

Osaka was born in Japan but she lives in Japan. In a few weeks she will fly to Australia to play the Brisbane International, then Sydney and Australian Open. 'Home is where my parents, sister, dog are. One day I will want one mine, it would be beautiful, but players travel so much', she admitted.

Osaka earned $3.8 million by winning the US Open, but her life did not change too much. 'I never had holidays, I never give myself anything costy. At best, I bought a Louis Vuitton bag for my mum.'

No boyfriends, so far: 'I never dated anyone, so I do not miss anyone.'

Osaka also revealed: 'I feel that tennis was my choice, because growing up I was seeing my sister playing and I always wanted to do what she was doing. Yeah, I enjoy.'

What would she do if she did not become a professional tennis player? 'It's a difficult question, I am so involved in what I do. I may be a sports agent.'
