Rafael Nadal will not become a tennis coach, says Uncle Toni
Toni Nadal does not believe that his nephew Rafael will become a coach on the ATP Tour once he retires from the professional tennis. Toni said: 'Rafael likes the competition a lot and giving his best effort... I may be wrong but I do not believe that once he stops he wants to behind a player.'
Toni also criticized today's society: 'You lost a key value which was the generational respect, something we could see from the school, the respect we give to teachers decreased, why? It all starts from the government that allows this and also switches to the sports world.'
Toni also believes that the younger players' mentality changed nowadays: 'When we trained the forehand with Rafael and we did not make it, we may repeat it 100, 200 or 300 times, it did not make it but we had no problem that tomorrow we would do it again. Instead now, what happens? When you are with someone who makes mistakes, going forward is very difficult. You do not have people who have the prepared mind to give themselves an opportunity.'
